15th October Wareham

021 Lashings of ginger beer….

I had to move away from Corfe because the campsite was fully booked over the weekend but I found a campsite outside Wareham which, despite the static caravans, was friendly and accommodating.

Wareham has a cinema.  However there was a Film festival so it was too complicated to go to the flicks.  The films were being shown all around the area in various venues and if they do it every year and if one is mobile – and organised – this might be one to watch and do.  I do miss having an accessible good selection of film venues almost more than theatre.

I wonder how many Australians are descended from felons who injured Dorset bridges.

My dad worked for Philips Scott and Turner: Milk of Magnesia, Andrews Liver Salts and California Syrup of Figs.  My sister and I used to have trips around the factory and came away with lots of free samples.  The competition was who held out the longest after drinking the samples.  I always lost.

I cycled to Arne – you see more by bike.
