The camp site was a few miles north of Scarborough in Scalby so I had a stiff walk in from the north each day. There are dire warnings along the esplanade in the North Bay to keep away in heavy weather – I think lives have been lost.

The Ayckbourn theatre is a former Odeon. I went to see “Neighbourhood Watch” so at least I’ve been to see an Ayckbourn play in its place of origin.
