21 May–Ben More, Mull

I set off early in the morning to bag Mull’s only Munro, Ben More.  (There is another Ben More in Assynt on the mainland.)  I was worried I wouldn’t be able to park if I didn’t get there early.  I had no problem and spent the night there when I got down.

My Munro says it is an easy scramble up the ridge from the Coll.

It didn’t look easy as I viewed it while walking up to the coll.

I was lucky, it was a clear day with very little wind, otherwise it would have been very exposed.  I felt very smug – and relieved – when I got to the top and was disappointed that the trig point had disappeared – the weather? – and that there were midges there.

There is an easy way up – and down – Ben More.  This is what Ben More looks like from the easy way
