5 June Beavers! at Knapdale and Tarbet.

Near where I was staying (Lochgilphead) is the area where the beavers have been reintroduced.  I had a nice walk around the loch where there was certainly evidence of their activity but they are like the otters and difficult to spot – apparently the best time is dusk.

After Knapdale I explored the Mull of Kintyre, stopping off at Tarbet, a strategic point and port on Mull of Kintyre.

I wanted to refuel but found  that the economic climate has killed off the only petrol filling station for miles.
