Noup Head. This is another Stevenson Lighthouse and also a RSPB reserve. Lots of birds, kittiwakes are coming in – can hear them. Lots of gannets – they are so beautiful in flight. I was told there were Black Guillemots here to but the weather was too bad to linger greatly.
Haven’t see these since the solitary one in Portpatrick so took a picture of a picture. However the extraordinary thing about these birds is that the insides of their mouths are bright red too
This castle was built by Gilbert Balfour, another tyrant but clearly, from the gun ports rather than windows, a more nervous one.
