After my awning experience with Ella I went to Corfe. It was mid-week so I could get a place in the camp site. Camping logistics, south of the Border, are that one HAS to book for somewhere nice for weekends, so one has to plan and be organised…..
So not being forward thinking I had to “do” Corfe mid-week. Not a problem - the weather was just brilliant.
The camp site - I say camp site but it is for caravans, campervans and motorhomes only – real campers are not allowed and have to go elsewhere.; this is an increasing phenomenon. Anyway the camp site is a couple of miles west of Corfe. I walked into Corfe in the morning.
By the time I had got into the village, the mist had lifted
This has been recently rebuilt
The footbridge was brought in from Wimbledon when the Croydon tramlink was built
I caught the train from Corfe to Swanage and walked back along the ridge
